The source of record for construction tech: what contractors run, drop, and keep.
Everybody else covers enterprise construction. DIALED covers the contractors doing $2M to $50M, and covers them with an editorial standard: real pricing, real ownership, real outcomes.
- Segment
- $2M to $50M revenue
- Trades
- Residential and light commercial
- Coverage
- Software and hardware sold to contractors
- Paid coverage
- None
DIALED is not a rating platform. A rating platform turns opinions into a score. We document what a tool is and what it claims, and the contractors who run it produce the verdict.
How DIALED makes money never touches what the record says. Partners and backers pay for the work, not the verdict.
How the record gets made
- 01
The tool gets documented
Pricing, ownership, integrations, and what the vendor claims. Sourced and dated. Where a vendor will not state something, the record says so instead of guessing.
- 02
Contractors report what they run
No stars. What they use, how long they have used it, what it replaced, and what they dropped. Named trade and revenue band, so the report has context.
- 03
Retention does the rest
Nobody keeps paying for software that doesn’t work. What is still running after a year says more than anything rated on day one.
What we won’t do
- Coverage is never for sale.
- No score we did not earn from contractors.
- No claim about a company without a source and a date.
- No invented review, byline, or figure. Null with a note beats a guess.
Sourcing and corrections
- Where does the data come from?
- Three places, labeled separately. What the vendor states publicly, with the page and the date we read it. What we verified ourselves, with a verification date. What contractors report about the tools they run. Every figure on a tool page carries which of the three it came from.
- What happens when something cannot be sourced?
- The record says so. If a vendor will not publish a price, the page reads Not published. If we have not researched a tool yet, it reads Not yet researched. We never fill a gap with an estimate, an industry average, or a guess.
- Can a vendor change what the record says about them?
- A vendor can supply or update their own fields, and those fields are labeled as reported by the vendor with the date they said it. A vendor cannot edit contractor reports, retention figures, or Field Test results, and paying us changes nothing on the page.
- How do corrections work?
- Email correction@dialedcontractor.com with the claim and the source. If we got it wrong, we fix it and log the change with the date. The previous value stays visible in the entry's correction log, so you can see what changed and when. We do not silently edit.
- Why is there no score?
- A score turns opinions into a number and hides how it was built. Retention is harder to argue with: nobody keeps paying for software that does not work. We publish an aggregate only once at least five contractors have reported on a tool.
